RCS (Native)

RCS is a channel developed by Google with native integration into Android, eliminating the need for users to install a separate messaging app. It allows for the sending of text, images, GIFs, videos, files, audio, interactive buttons, and even product carousels to individuals or groups of users.

Before you start, make sure everything is already configured

Once you have contracted RCS, the Provisioning team will assist you throughout the process, handling all necessary configurations to ensure that everything is ready for use!

How to send a RCS message

Go on New Message > New Channels > RCS

Upload/choose your audience

You can upload a file (maximum of 105 mb) or choose from Saved Files, Contacts, Groups of Contacts or even send for a few individual numbers.

RCS Content Creation

There are 3 types of content creation: Simple Text, Rich card and Carousel.

Simple Text

If you choose to create a simple text, you will be able to create and send only text to your final users, without any media. It is important to emphasize that within this transmission, we can create content of both Basic and Single types.

Rule for Basic:

• write up to 160 characters

Rule for Single:

• text that exceeds more than 160 characters

• usage of the button

Within Simple Text, you will be able to add up to 10 buttons (Buttons are not mandatory). There are 2 types: Actions → you can add Phone number or a redirect to a Website Quick Answers → buttons of select something

Rich Card

It is a message with media content. Media and Message body are mandatory.

You can choose between Short / Medium / Tall for media high. In Rich card, you can add up to 4 buttons (optional).

Carousel

Carousel is a set of rich cards to compose your message. Maximum of 10 rich cards.

URL	URL length limit is 2048 characters

You can also choose between Short / Medium / Tall for media high. In Carousel, you can add up to 2 buttons (optional) of Actions and up to 10 of Quick Answers.

You can move your rich cards in Preview, you can drag and change cards disposal and even delete some if you don't like it.

After creating your content, you can choose your campaign.

Schedule your message

Define when you will send your message.

Report

The current report for RCS is available only in Sinch Dashboard. The data you will have access to includes: Total messages per month, main sending errors, and messages delivered/read/failed.
